Kid, I need ya to do me a favour. Don't battle Niko if he challenges you. Just turn it down.
Sorry, but I don't give a fuck about any pride you have in battlin' or anythin'. The way he pushes his Pokémon, one day they're gonna faint and not wake up and I don't want that to happen in a battle here. Got it?
[Archie's message sends a heavy shiver down Red's spine. When he turns on his own feed, his expression is even stiffer than usual, a frown on his face and darkness in his eyes - that and he might look a little like he's going to be sick.]
What can we do?
[Clearly they can't just let this go on. Red knows that Archie has already tried to take Niko's Pokémon away once. Obviously that wasn't the best way to go about it, but maybe if they could find someway to appeal to him...]
[Red is both silent and still for a long moment - he's thinking. Back home, most any issue could be resolved with a simple Pokémon battle. Without that as an option, the man is honestly at a loss as for what to do. But he'll have to think of something. He will think of something.]
I'll think of something.
[That's probably more words than you've heard out of him yet, but if there's one way to get Red talking, it's Pokémon and how they should be treated.]
[The man nods - firmly - without a second of hesitation. Niko is still a kid and that is very important for them all too remember. No matter how he might treat his Pokémon now, there is always time to learn. Red knows of at least one other person that went through that transformation. If it wasn't too late for him, then it isn't too late for Niko.
[More nodding, this round a bit more enthusiastic - maybe even a little excited. After all, it is exciting - the prospect that, as a team, Archie, Blue, and he might be able to teach this kid a little something or two about how to bond with his Pokémon. What better way to do so than to show his Pokémon a good time - and maybe get Niko to have a little bit of fun as well.
[With that suggestion, Red is looking all the more encouraged. And you said you were out of ideas.]
[The trainer dons a thoughtful expression, even going so far as to put a finger to his chin as he thinks. Ghost types, ghost types...He has to admit, he doesn't know too terribly much about them either, despite his experience with all types of Pokémon. But surely they'll be able to come up with something for the poor Haunter...
[Maybe...]
Flying?
[Haunters can sort of fly, right? He's sure it would be able to keep up with Charizard so long as he stayed relatively close to the ground.]
[Oh. Well. Red doesn't necessarily like the idea of watching Haunter eating up any animals, but. A Pokémon does have to eat, right? He frowns a little either way, but eventually ends up giving Archie a small nod. It's better than nothing.]

Will you help me?
[Once he figures something out, that is.]
Re: Video
[he sighs, clearly just as miserable as red.]
So far I've decided not to be angry with him every time I see him. It's hard, but... he's still a kid, yeah?

[Kill him with kindness. Red can do that.]

[he scratches his chin.]
Maybe see if Feraligatr could swim with Blastoise, Gyarados and Sharpedo?

I'll be honest though, kid, I have no ideas for the Haunter. I don't really know ghost-types that well...

Not that.
